Black Friday Vs CyberMonday - Which Is Better?
Whilst Black Friday is celebrated on a global scale and is widely accepted as a shopping event, how is Cyber Monday any different, and more importantly - which one is better?
In 2021, Black Friday is falling on the 26th of November, and is also punctuated by a wave of pre-Black Friday sales up to weeks before the event. Cyber Monday, on the other hand, falls on the 29th of November. The biggest, undeniable difference is that whilst a majority of us still does our Black Friday shopping in actual stores, Cyber Monday is a completely internet related affair. It began in 2005 when internet shopping was in its early stages, and retailers wanted to promote it through yet another shopping event.
But with Black Friday and Cyber Monday so close together, the deals often seem to be blurring together in a weekend shopping event, ending on the 29th of November this year. Pre-Cyber Monday sales can begin before or during Black Friday, with deals for both events up for grabs at stores such as Best Buy or Amazon - so which ones are better?
It actually comes down to what you’re looking for specifically. Black Friday might be better for those looking to get deals on tech - largely because these items are so popular, they might sell out before Cyber Monday even has a chance to offer any deals on them! And if you’re looking for larger products, such as major appliances, or popular home decor items, they’re more popular during Black Friday.
On the other hand, if you want smaller, less popular items that don’t immediately sell out on Black Friday - such as fashion, or smaller appliances like coffee makers - then Cyber Monday would actually be a better choice. It’s all about keeping an eye out for the best deals, and timing your purchase!
Of course, Cyber Monday might also be a better choice for those who want to do all their shopping from the comfort of their home. In either case - get ready for some pre-Black Friday deals coming to you later this month!
