Black Friday Sweepstakes & Surveys
Black Friday is only a few weeks away, so it’s a good idea to gear up for the shopping event that falls on November 26th this year!
However, surveys from recent years show a fall in interest in Black Friday. A SurveyMonkey poll showed that out of nearly 600 US participants, 44% hated or disliked the holiday, whilst only 32% liked or loved it. Many of the stated reasons have been overcrowded stores, poor product selection, or simply a dislike of shopping. Particularly with the recent pandemic, and many smaller stores simply having to close down, the availability of products has fallen.
And despite the annual price cutting, a further survey showed that 81% of the participants don’t consider Black Friday a tradition. So whilst it’s natural to expect heavy marketing around the November area, other events, such as Amazon’s Prime Day, might actually end up overtaking Black Friday - who knows?
But if you’re still keeping your fingers crossed for this year’s Black Friday, then keep an eye out for the sweepstakes - a popular marketing method that lets participants take part in competitions for thousands of dollars or even pricier items. They all come and go quite quickly, so timing is really important.
